How Big is a Big Rig?

3/19/2022

A big rig is generally 13 1/2 Feet Tall and weighs about 40 Tons when fully loaded.

A semi pulling an empty trailer weighs roughly 35,000 pounds, whereas a big rig with a fully loaded trailer weighs about 80,000 pounds.

Either way, these trucks are much bigger and heavier than a typical passenger car.
Respect the road and give our trucks some room, please.

Thank you
